The Early Years Entitlement Funding (EYEF) is a Government Scheme which pays for 3 and 4 year olds to have a part-time Education. Children become eligible the term following their third birthday as per the following dates:

To claim Early Years Entitlement Funding (EYEF) parents/carers will need to complete a Children’s Information Form for each childcare provider used.
All eligible children are entitled to a free education including
Minimum of 2 hours in 1 day
Maximum of 6 hours in 1 day
Maximum of 12 hours in 2 days
Maximum of 15 hours a week used over a minimum of 3 days
Maximum of 2 providers
EYEF can be claimed with a maximum of 2 providers - please declare this on the Headcount Claim Form at the start of each term.
Any additional hours will be charged for.
Parents/carers will need to provide either a Birth Certificate, Passport, Child Benefit Book or other form of identity to confirm the child’s Date of Birth. We will photocopy this and send the copy to Devon County Council along with the Children’s Information Form and the Headcount Claim Form (which needs to be completed at the beginning of each term stating how many hours are being claimed). By signing this form the parent/carer is committed to ensuring that their child attends. Parents must not knowingly register their child for a session they will not be attending regularly. If a child is absent, a form must be completed by the parent/carer stating the reason for the absence. If a child fails to attend on a regular basis funding has to be returned to Devon County Council and these charges will be passed on to the parent/carer. It is the parent/carers responsibility to communicate with their provider to claim hours required.
No charges are made for the Basic Entitlement but charges are made for any hours over and above the basic entitlement at a rate of £3.60 per hour.
Parents are not expected to access additional chargeable services as a condition of being offered an Early Years space.
We would expect parents/carers to book their child’s sessions at the beginning of each term. A contract will then be issued for the term.
The fee for accompanied children under 3 who attend a morning session is £3. (From 09.00 - 11.30). Accompanied Children under 2 are £1.50 for the morning session (9.00 - 11.30).

Parents/carers may pay for their child’s sessions daily, weekly, half termly or termly.
Any money paid in should be in a clearly marked envelope with your child’s name and sessions you are paying for.
